Our easy-to-install Nite Ize 1 Watt LED Upgrade II & IQ Switch Combo transforms your incandescent AA Mini Maglite® flashlight into an ultra-bright, multi-functional flashlight. Replace your current incandescent bulb with the 1 Watt LED Upgrade II and instead of its old, dull yellow glow, your flashlight beams bright white flood and focused spot light. With the LED's long life, you'll virtually never need to replace it again, and because the LED uses less power, your AA batteries will last longer. Replace the tailcap with the I.Q. Switch, and you'll instantly have 5 light modes (100%, 50%, 25% power, slow, fast strobe) with 3 power level capabilities, so you can choose the function you need for whatever task you have at hand. The I.Q. Switch is equipped with a "find-in-the-dark" flashing LED to make location a snap. The I.Q. Switch also knows to turn itself off after 14.5 minutes of non-use. An excellent (dare we say "brilliant"?) way to improve function and battery efficiency while reducing waste.

At 13 minutes the light will flash to signal that it is close to shutting off and prompt you to hit the button to re-activate for another 14.5 minutes.

I have installed the LED Upgrade Kit II, but my flashlight doesn't work. What can I do?
The 1 Watt LED Upgrade Kit II is polarity specific, so it will only work in one direction. Please reference the product instructions PDF by clicking here to view the correct installation. If the LED does not turn on, simply remove the LED Upgrade Kit II from the incandescent AA Mini Maglite®, rotate it 180 degrees from the non-working position and re-insert it into your flashlight. Will the LED Upgrade Kit II & I.Q. Switch work with lithium & rechargeable batteries?
Yes.
Can I disable the flashing red light on the I.Q. Switch?
Yes. You can turn off the flashing light by turning the incandescent AA Mini Maglite® OFF at the head of the flashlight. Conversely, the head of the incandescent AA Mini MagLite® must be turned ON for the IQ Switch to work.
