We also took the hazards of rough weather, rugged terrain, and rigorous physical activity into consideration when we designed this ultra-rugged holster, so it does a few other things, too. Made of durable ballistic nylon, it has a soft “no scratch” interior to better protect the lenses, screens, and other sensitive surfaces of its contents. Its zippers are weather-resistant, the case itself is fully enclosed, and we’ve added an interior molded-foam “backbone” to protect your cargo from drops and impact.
The Backbone Case 40 also features two zippered compartments, so you can carry multiple devices, as well as smaller accessories (GPS dash mounts, DC power cords, Bluetooth wireless headsets, and batteries, for example). Attach it to your belt or backpack strap with its super-secure fixed clip, or use the shoulder strap (adjustable lanyard included), and take it along wherever life takes you.
How weather resistant are the zippers and fabric?
The zippers and fabric on the Backbone Cases is designed to protect your device against incidental contact with the elements. This holster was not designed to be water proof and will not protect your device if submerged in water.
